I have been taking Proactol for almost seven weeks now, and I am up to a 17 pound weight loss. According to the forum at Homeweightloss.com, that is a great loss, and right within the recommended weekly amount. Losing it slow and steady will help my body adjust to it, and give me a better chance of keeping it off for life.
When I saw Linda at work the other day, she commented about how good I am looking, and asked if I might want to go out to Tom and Becky’s house with her this weekend for another lat summer cookout. Becky had actually told her to go ahead and invite me. I know it sounds funny, but I felt a little like they were trying to fix me up. Not that I mind, especially with Linda. After all, I have liked her for a while.
Anyhow, we are going out to their house on Saturday, and planning on taking the boat out on the lake. I am a little nervous. Even though Tom and Becky are mutual friends of mine and Linda’s, it just seems weird that our first date will be at their house.
I asked if she minds if Rusty comes along, and she said that she meant to tell me to bring him. She thought he was a great dog. She was impressed with his Frisbee catching abilities, and really likes him. Now, for me, that is a first, a girl who likes dogs as much as I do.
Speaking of Rusty, he has lost a little weight too. It must be because of all the walking, running, and Frisbee playing we have been doing together. He has been a little heavier than recommended for an adult Golden Retriever for a couple of years, but now, he’s just right.
I started doing some more toning exercises this week. My doctor said that if I do toning and strength training, as well as the other exercising I have been doing, then I should be able to firm right up. I started doing crunches and a couple of other exercises that will be good for my abdominal area and my back. That’s one area I have been concerned about, my back.
With the way the posture changes with weight gain and weight loss, I am determined to keep my back in good shape. I don’t want to pull any muscles or injure myself. He also showed me some good exercises to help strengthen my back muscles and my stomach muscles.
Next week I plan on adding more fruit and vegetables to my diet. I love fruit, but the vegetables are not my favorite. I don’t mind fresh salads so much, but any other kind is not something I regularly eat. I plan on trying some that I haven’t eaten in a while, and see if I like them yet. Maybe I’ll find some new good for me foods to eat that I really like.
Proactol is helping me a lot, and I knowing it’s working the way it should. That makes me even more excited about all the other changes I plan on making. Along with the high calorie energy drinks, I have now also cut way down on the beer, and the soda. I had already cut down some, but now I don’t drink soda unless I’m at someone else’s house, and the beer only comes out when football comes on.
Proactol and the forum I belong to have been what has kept me going. With eating less, and eating right being made easier, weight loss has actually become a reality to me, and I am looking forward to seeing what lies ahead. Now, what should I wear to Tom and Becky’s this weekend?
